After about twenty years of symbiotic life with LibriBianchi, Simona and Lorenzo felt the need to look at the path taken and their works, with an “empathetic” detachment, like that of a parent who watches their children, trying to be objective (which is very difficult, if not impossible!). And this is how the LibriBianchi monograph, published by Skira, was born. It represents a journey through the history, philosophy and works of the two artists. The volume tells the evolution of an artistic project that explores the symbolic value of books, transforming them into works of art to reflect on culture, on collective memory, on the relationship between humanity and knowledge, on empathy for all living beings. Through suggestive images, insights, stories and a beautiful critical text by Prof. Martina Corgnati, this monograph offers an intimate look at the main works in paper and bronze by the two artists and the most significant installations involving the public. In fact, writing a book already expresses in itself a need to share, so all books represent sharing. As Aristotle said, man is a 'social animal' that needs to communicate.
