Through culture our mind is illuminated and our outlook on the world becomes more aware.
The artists always begin with real books destined for disposal. Through the lost-wax casting process, they achieve a broader range of possible sculptural redefinitions of the book as an object. Finally, with fire, the bronze becomes malleable, giving rise to works that seem alive. It is a quest for the alchemical transformation of paper into something more enduring—a challenge with a noble material, to shape it and make it as light as pages in the wind.
